Shielded building gain 1 armor, meaning they will take one less damage from every hit. Since the average titan hit for 4-6 damage it can significantly prolong your building life. It will not help against boss, however. This will stack with Shield Generator.
The quirks of damage systems for building make this effect far more useful than what you may believe. Some use include :
- reducing Disruptor damage to 0, making Disruptor Shielding redundant
- reducing the collateral damage from Rockets and mine and the explosion damage from Cretus genus. Buildings with Nanohardening are not immune to explosions.
