Gidrus Gidrus is the first Titan encountered in Revenge of the Titans. With very low health and speed these Titans are nothing more than cannon fodder for their larger cousin Gidrus Gigantus.
The reason and inner workings of the Titan invasion are not known, mostly because of the fierce hatred they have for humans. Considering how much more formidable some other Titans are, it seems that either Earth was not the main target of the invasion or the Titans were testing us.
